Buona Pasqua

There are no plastic eggs to be found here in Italy, so the Easter Bunny did some improvising...he created a scavenger hunt.  :)  Couldn't find any dye for coloring either, but luckily we had packed some other Easter decorations that still made it fun for everyone.  Stores are closed today and tomorrow for the holiday which means we had to but A LOT of little milks to get us through until Tuesday.  Drew and I were commenting today how there is no holiday in the States where groceries close for two days.  Interesting.

You won't find any Easter baskets here.  Only these wrapped chocolate eggs.  The Cars one is plastic, but the other two are hollow chocolate eggs with toys in the center.  Yum!  Celia and Dean were amazed by how big the chocolate was.  Several of the stores around here have huge (like as big as an adult) chocolate eggs for decoration.  Talk about yum.

After getting Dean dressed for an Easter pary, he told me that he was a "little daddy" (since he had a buttonup shirt on). :)

We finished our Easter celebrations with a dove cake (it sort of has a head, tail, and wings).  Celia and Dean have been seeing these in the stores her all month and have been so excited to try one.  They were not disappointed.
